God is Moving!!!!
Wow - I cannot believe it is already Thursday!!!! Tuesday and Wednesday flew by but not without many miraculous things happening. Sorry for the delay in updates but Tuesday the internet was down and then yesterday was just a whirlwind of emotions. Tuesday and Wednesday both brought on many kids opening up about really difficult situations and heartfelt fellowship time.
Of course there were the usual fun events such as the BLOB and all their POI's but even more important than that is the lives that are changing, especially at night when we get back in our lodges. These kids are moved by God and really on fire for his love and affection. Each and every one of them have been opening up in some way and having breakthroughs.
Last night brought about a beautiful time of worship with Pastor Gregg. Our youth were definitely feeling the spirit and did not want the night to end.
All the fun continued right after as our youth cheered on their friends who were part of Stage Night. Everyone who entered did a magnificant job and I have to say our contestants really showed their love for God through their performances.
As we headed back up to the lodges for the night to end the fun was still continuing with some drumming on the front porch and a little "Dance Off" between the campers and chaperones - it was HILARIOUS!!! It was so beautiful to see the joy on these campers faces while just hanging out with friends and loving each other.
I cannot wait to see what is in store for our last full day here - it is hard to believe we will be coming home tomorrow!!!! I would like everyone to please continue to pray for our youth so that they can take this camp experience home with them and light the fire of God in Bowling Green - not only in our church, but also in their homes and at school as well. Please just continue to pray for them and love on them every chance you get!!!! God Bless!!!!!

Father
Today's topic that the campers have learned about and studied was "Father" - God is the Father, I am an Orphan, and Adoption through the Father by Jesus Christ alone.
Matthew 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Lake sports proved to be fun. The campers got to experience the BLOB, some for the first time and it was exciting!!! Others enjoyed the Icebergs, climbing up and sliding down over and over. We cannot get the kids off the Aqua Jump either - they just keep challenging each other to competitions.
Our campers have had a fun-filled day as they started their POI's. Some went tubing as others climbed to great heights, some got to fly through the sky on the new zipline while others decided to ball it out on the court. No matter what POI the campers started out with, it seemed as though all of them had so much fun! There is so much love in the air as God surrounds us with his love.
Our worship time after dinner was beautiful and the songs amazing. Afterwards Chris Cranor gave us a little bit of his testimony and challenged our kids to just let go and praise God in the nights to come.
Of course the kids got a little bit of Shack time and then it was off to the rooms to get ready for bed or fellowship for some.
All in all it proved to be a great day!!!!

Day 1 - Monday
The morning started early as our breakfast time is 8:00. Surprisingly all the campers got up, most of them pretty easy, and some of them actually went for a run at 5:45 this morning. Breakfast was yummy and we were off to Morning Celebration! Again we were welcomed with high fives this morning by all the Crossings staffers as we entered into the Worship Center. We had fun while watching The Morning Show - like a comedy newscast - and then it was off to Small Groups and Large Groups. God Bless!!!!
We Have Arrived!!!!!
Jonathan Creek 2010 had a huge awakening at around 4:00 Sunday when 122 of us arrived at camp!!! We were welcomed immediately by Crossings staffers who jumped on buses and prayed with us before we headed down for our first group picture. The group picture proved to be interesting due to our large group of 122 but we would choose a little confusion for a picture any day for our kids to get to experience the love of God that comes as soon as you step off the bus here. We got to run through a Crossland banner (picture a high school football game when the cheerleaders are holding the sign when the football players run through at the beginning of the game) and we were literally like two football teams. It was beautiful to see as most of the other churches had like 15 to 20 people running through.
Next we headed to the lodges to check in our rooms and get situated. Everyone was situated very quickly due to all the hard work this year from many chaperones - they really got us organized and ready to go this year! There was some rain coming through so it got a little wet from here on the way to dinner and then to the Worship Center for Opening Night Ceremony.
Opening night was, as always, so amazing!!!!!!! I am not really sure how to describe it although many kids and chaperones last night shared that it was INSTANT this year. It could be the memories from last year flooding back in or it just could be that it is a new year with many new kids - one thing is for certain though - God was present and we could feel him!!!!!!
Our Checkpoint time happens every night after Worship. The whole Crossland group gets together and discusses how the day has gone, anything that is on their hearts, etc. Our group immediately stepped up and started sharing. We have got an amazing group of kids who are in love with the Lord and some new ones who are already craving that closeness and asking questions.
A little bit of free time is at the end of the night when everyone gets to go to The Shack and get snacks and just hang out until lights out. Most of our group got snacks and then headed back to the lodge to fellowship up there. Our night ended as everyone played different little fun games and just laughed together.
The day could easily be described just like the song we sang at Opening Ceremony - He loves us, Oh how he loves us, Oh how he loves us..............................God has truly loved us today!!!!!!!! God Bless!!!!!!!!
